First Part: Forum Software

As i can see, you use BB3 for your Forum-So i'd like to suggest to you a faster software i use for my Forum: www.shadowbringer.de
Just look at it and if you have a German Mod/Admin maybe even a User, just register and try the Functions, to get your own sight of it
Well, it has many Add-Ons you can implement very easily (I already installed nearly 50, like built-in Ajax-Chat )
It will cost you 49 € Once, what's a very nice Price, I think.
If you host your Actual Forum, you can implement all posts and Users in your new forum, as i read.
If you don't know it, its made by a German company and called. Wotlab Burning board. Click HERE to get redirected to the Homepage.
There also is a light version, that's free.

It's just a suggestion, not advertisement or sth.

Second Part: Actual Forum-Background-Picture

I'd suggest to set the "Background-Picture repeating option off, so there is no line on the right.
----> The line in critical eyes looks like: somehow unserious (=German Unseriös, not sure if it's right), it somehow annoyes me, don't know why

Tbh you can optimiser most php BB clones to be faster. Performance in the end comes down to how big your net pipe is and how you allocated your resources on your server.

If you dedicated entire cores to running SQL and httpd, and have a nice fat 100mbit sychronous pipe to back it up, it will look sweet and be sweet.

You my friend are advertising. 49 Euros is a fkin lot when you consider our economic climate currently and that peoples wages are being frozen or decreasing.

Im not saying your friend doesnt make good software, just that their are a stupid number of free open source alternatives available as well, most with every plugin under the sun.

Personally i quite like the look of this forum, and think they shouldnt change it at the minute.

So Definitely I am NOT a friend of someone making forum software. And i can tell you i am NOT a professional i just have my own forum, and i want the best for this, because i love the Servers and the Comunnity. So don't say things too fast, before you know the background. THANK YOU

Hmm yes, I think that its too expensive for it.
You can rent a private virtual server for 10e and solid dedi server for that money.
As voodoo said there is a lot of free forums like SMF, phpbb3, myBB and others which are nice.
We are currently using a phpbb and its nice.I think we wont change it for now.

However that forum is nice, i must say, but why to pay when u can have free.

Also I dont know what u want to say wiht a backgroud picture.Change it? or?

No, don't change look right there's a line u see?
It repeats the Picture, what doesn't look too nice.
If you got an option, to turn pics repeating off, it would look better, i think.

Well i hope al least you believe me that i don't make advertisement.

I dont find this forum slow, so why change it.

I would suggest that people who find it slow have network issues at their end, as my load time is somewhere around 0.2 secs on avg (tested using 10 reloads and yes it was nearer to 0.217 secs but are we really that anal).

Can i also make an obvservation. You need to customise your forum. You appear to be using a default layout which makes it look dull. The style and layout of this board quite frankly blows it away.

Witch if you consider the whole forum thing, then why bother with just the forum? Why not move to a full content management system like Drupal, Joomla or Mambo. I personally prefer Drupal, but the other two are pretty sweet too.

Ah, thats theme picture, i can change it but not turn of reapeting, and tbh i didnt even saw that hehe.

Well i dont consider that as adv. cuz even if yes, thats too expensive and im sure none will buy it when they can find a perceft forums for free.

But that software is nice i must tell.

For me site is laodign fast also, maybe its slow because of your connection?
And yes voodoo i know for joomla but its more comercial site, but others two are nice also.

But i did change forum soon so i will stop now, cuz this one works good, so no acctually needed.

Yeah you're right.
Just had a BG image loading issue again.
First time i go to this site after i start my computer so the cache is empty, it needs 4-10 secs loading the BG image.
After this, refreshed in 0.2 secs.

hmmm weird i dont see that problem with picture at chrome, and also your lline who make distance between psot and signature is too big? its goes over a board.Hmm also not like o mine.

Yeah i only have the BG bug.
It's probably cause of Safari

Its not a critical error, tbh. Just some numpty who cant code css correctly and fudged that part of it, probably with code specific to internet explorer.
